Genny Hoyle

Genny is an aquatic biologist with the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho’s Fish and Wildlife Program and has been navigating the Kootenai River across Idaho, Montana, and British Columbia for over 15 years. In addition to her work in environmental conservation, she is deeply involved in emergency response and rescue operations.

As an Advanced EMT and Wilderness EMT, Genny volunteers with the Boundary Volunteer Ambulance and serves as a boat operator for the Boundary County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue team. She holds certifications as a Swiftwater Rescue Technician and a USCG OUPV-6 Pack Captain, further enhancing her expertise in water-based rescue and operations.
In her spare time, Genny enjoys running, hiking, biking, and competing in the occasional triathlon, always seeking new ways to challenge herself in the outdoors.
