We’ve wrapped up most of our swiftwater rescue classes for the season are are out enjoying Missoula’s best rafting & kayaking on the Alberton Gorge. Summer water levels have arrived with warm friendly class II and II rapids. We know you are all wearing the right gear and keeping an eye on each other. If you know anyone who needs a guided Missoula rafting trip, check out Montana River Guides.
Montana River Guides offers daily whitewater rafting and Missoula scenic kayaking tours on the Clark Fork River near Missoula. The Alberton Gorge is flowing about 4000 cubic feet per second, perfect levels for family whitewater fun. Tumbleweed and Fang rapids are still big enough to create some swimmers and some rocks are emerging on the upper gorge to make it fun and challenging.
Later this summer we’ll be offering several Swiftwater Spill Response classes on the Clark Fork River. We’ll cover swiftwater rescue basics and equipment on day one before learning how to safely deploy spill response equipment in wastewater.
“Whether you are a river-rookie or an experienced boater, WRI tailors their classes to what you need to learn in a fun and challenging environment. Their scenario based teaching approach creates an electric learning atmosphere where you feel like you are in actual river rescue situations. I would recommend them to anybody!”
