Alan Burgmuller
Lead Instructor/USCG Boat Captain
Alan grew up on the east coast where he was on the water from an early age. From driving power boats on family vacations in Quebec to whitewater canoeing with Boy Scouts, Alan was hooked on boating. He has called Hamilton Montana home for 35 years, working in the building trades, volunteering with Search and Rescue, guiding part time with MRG, competing in whitewater slalom races and doing as many multi-day river trips as possible. Alan has been with WRI since 2011 and though still on the team roster, is easing towards semi-retirement and is now living near Bellingham Washington.
